Ok...I know a lot of you have probably seen this one...but I just found it and am kind of fascinated.

Left Brain/Right Brain

Do you see the dancer (shown below) as moving clockwise or counter-clockwise?

brain

The difference may show whether you are right or left brained.

If you see her as moving clockwise, then you are more right brained,
and vice versa. Most people see the figure moving counter-clockwise;
however, some people are capable of focusing and changing the
direction. See if you can.

At first the dancer was moving clockwise, which is no surprise cause
I definitely have inherited artistic tendencies. After focusing on changing
it for a moment, I got the dancer to change direction. This, also, was not
too much of a surprise...I have a good sense of direction, spatial awareness,
and good critical reasoning (most days, at least).

I found it ever so easy to switch her directions with minimal focusing and
she would keep going one direction until I intentionally made her switch.
Pretty sweet.

This pretty much confirms my suspicions that I'm brilliant. Or that I use
both sides of my brain. Woo!

I wish this had been around when I wrote a speech on the differences
between right and left brain dominance...would have been a way better
visual aid then the poster I whipped up in 5 minutes, ha.

[P.S. I find it hilarious that the "dancer" is so shapely...and has major nipple-age]

Since you've all been begging for more, here you have it, a post!

These are a few of the shots I took on Eric and Matt's workshop.
I actually learned quite a bit, I have no idea what most of the technical
jargon is, but I learned to do a lot more with my mom's camera!

bIMG_9079

Yes, this fine young seagull was decapitated on purpose, why?
Cause the shot was terribly boring otherwise.

bIMG_9068

There was a lot of this happening at the beach. You know, rocks, waves.

abIMG_9040

I can't believe I got the focus right on this one!
The spastic kid was flailing the whole time...

bIMG_9047

Okay, I'm pretty darn proud of this shot, I got the focus just how I wanted it.
Hooray for learning how to change the aperture!

bIMG_9033

Yeah, I know, awful composition, but lately I've been enthralled with the way
light reacts on silvery metals... Mmmm.

So, there you have it! Sorry the post had a complete lack of wit, I've been doing
homework since 10am and have only had a couple breaks, my mind is toast!
Cheers to that.

It's the moment you've all been waiting for...the bri is making another post.
I know this excites you, try to stay calm.

This post will consist of the photo's taken by me.
Stop hyperventilating, you won't be able to see the photo's if you've passed out on the floor.
Although, if you actually passed out, it would amuse me endlessly.
Anywho, here goes nothing [I've never really understood that phrase, I mean, something's obviously going..].

Mind you, none of these have been edited, 'cause that's how i roll.

balboa1

This is why i was teetering precariously on the previously mentioned wall.
You understand now, don't you.

balboa2

My composition that kicked eric's in the rear.

balboa3

This one is infinitely superior in it's original size..this one has lost a significant amount of 'magic'.

balboa4

I adore this one. Why? Not a clue in the world. Magnifico!

balboa5

It may look unimpressive, but that baby would be double over head for a moderately sized june beetle...

balboa6

Yaaaay for red heads
[I find it mildly ironic that the red part of this vessel is the hull, not the head...teehee]

balboa7

I just happened to snap this one, stoked I received that brilliant stroke of prospective.
[yes, I'm tooting my own horn *toot*]

balboa8

I'm not sure why, but I like it
[although the composition would be far more pleasing with a slightly greater amount of sky].

balboa9

Ok, composition isn't brilliant, but I j'adore the way the light is so sharply reflecting off the edges of the rail.
[looks like the light is disobeying, being that it's on the rail, or is it obeying by reflecting off?]
Hooray puns!

balboa10

Yeah, eric copied me..and I'm sure he'll show his far-superior photos on his site.

balboa11

Peir 17?

balboa12

The composition is off, but the focus is perfect!

balboa13

"geeeeeeeek"

balboa14

Pretty light!

balboa15

I pretend that I took this out of focus on purpose, in all actuality...it was pure coincidence.
